A double major who tutored peers, earned his department’s service award and played ultimate frisbee, he aims to work for the Foreign Service after a stint with the Peace Corps.

His own experience battling sickle cell disease led this biology major to join a lab his junior year that researches the condition; he now plans to pursue a joint M.D.-Ph.D.
