About the Program

The future biologist will be using bioinformatics tools. Therefore, the Bachelor of Science degree in Bioinformatics is highly appropriate for students considering biological, biomedical and health sciences careers. Students in this program, depending upon each student's strongest interest, will chose from one of the following tracks:

- Biology/Genomics

- Computer Science

- Quantitative/Statistics

Students graduating from this program are well prepared for immediate employment in the biotechnology or biomedical industries. Students are also well-prepared for graduate or professional training for careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, public health, veterinary medicine, allied health professions, university or industrial research in the biological, biomedical, or other life sciences related fields.
