Communication

The American Transcendentalism Web is an educational hypertext, open to new files, notes on transcendental texts, and links among and within files and texts, within this space and to other Internet spaces.

Teachers and students of transcendentalism--whether formally associated with academia or not--are encouraged to submit files to be considered for inclusion. Such papers or notes must be thoughtful and substantial, with any sources thoroughly documented. Your name and affiliation will be noted, of course, on work chosen to be a "node" in this Web.

Study text notes require some special treatment. If you wish to offer a set of notes (to become popup notes) for a text, you need to indicate the anchoring words or passage clearly, giving the paragraph number if possible. If the literary text you are annotating is not presently on this Web, either send it or give a reliable Internet source. Texts can be annotated by more than one person (perhaps as a group project in a class?), but names need to be attached to each note. Any sources used must also be given.

If you'd like to discuss a possible submission, please e-mail Ann Woodlief at awood@vcu.edu.
