Experience campus in person.
All on-campus events are cancelled through May 2
We’re very disappointed to inform you that VCU has cancelled both on-campus and off-campus events scheduled between Saturday, March 14 and Saturday, May 2. At this time, we are exploring options for rescheduling these events or providing other alternatives and will be in touch with you with any updates as the become available.
In the meantime, take our virtual tour of campus and the residence halls.
The ongoing and expanding threats related to COVID-19 (coronavirus) prompted this decision. Though we’re disappointed that we will not be hosting you on campus, we know this decision is the right one. Your safety and health is of most importance to us.

The second you step onto campus, you feel it — a big Ram welcome. We’re excited to meet you and show you around!
While you’re here, you’ll experience:
- A mix of historic and modern (Cool, old buildings are across from modern, academic spaces.)
- Sounds and sights of city life (We are interwoven with Richmond; you won’t find boundaries.)
- Smells of tasty things (Local coffee shops and eateries are on every corner.)
Daily tours are suspended from March 14 through April May 2.
Get acclimated during one of our daily sessions; we host them Monday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and Saturday at 10:30 a.m., except on holidays and holiday weekends. Just register for the day and time you’d like to attend.
You’ll start with a 30-minute info session at 1111 W. Broad St. in our Welcome Center, which is right next to the VCU bookstore (in case you want to grab a cup of coffee beforehand). Then you’ll get a guided walking tour of the Monroe Park Campus, which takes just over an hour.
While the tour doesn’t include visiting a dorm room, detailed information about on-campus housing — including floor plans — is available at www.housing.vcu.edu.
After the tour, spend time one-on-one with an admissions counselor if you have more personal questions.
