Creating Web Sites
For many visitors, the VCU Site is their first introduction to the University and the programs we offer. Because of this important role as a communication tool it is essential that our site present quality information in a uniform manner across all Official University Sites.
The Web Steering Committee will help ensure this quality by reviewing all new Official University Sites prior to launch. The committee will also review sites whenever substantial revisions occur, or whenever a site is brought to their attention through an official complaint.
You should contact the Director of Web Support Services at webmaster@vcu.edu to request a review of your site. Each review will consider the site's compliance with technical standards, appropriate use of templates and university logos, usability, and browser compatibility. Only sites that have been approved can be published.
