You can access the modules when it is convenient for you and you can stop and start the modules as you'd like. After you've completed the modules, you can return to reference the material at any time.

CWS4010: Transformation: Promoting Change by Valuing and Engaging Families - Online
This self-paced, interactive, online course is designed to explore the goals and purpose of Virginia's Children's Services System Transformation as well as why it's important to cultivate a multi-disciplinary approach to services in Virginia. The course also examines Virginia's Practice Model and why the state of Virginia is embracing this new approach. Additionally, the course introduces the Virginia Family Engagement Model (VA-FEM), one of the key components of the Transformation.

Topics include:

  • The Transformation and why Virginia is implementing this change
  • The Practice Model and its importance to child and family service delivery in Virginia
  • The significance of the Virginia Family Engagement Model (VA-FEM)
  • Steps you can take to contribute to transforming the way state and local child serving agencies deliver services in Virginia
