This curriculum
promotes collaboration among parents of children with disabilities,
educators, child protective services workers, and law enforcement
officers, to help them deal effectively with abuse and neglect
of these highly vulnerable children. It is designed to be taught
by teams of trainers who model collaboration and best practice.
This 500 page
Training Manual includes the Trainers Guide, Participant Handouts,
and Overheads. It is organized by modules, each of which includes
detailed instructions regarding content, methods, and materials
needed for teaching each session. Information also is included
about videos that can enhance the training.
Modules are designed
to be used separately for shorter training sessions, workshops,
and presentations, with permission from the authors.
