| VCURES Announces Post-Doctoral Position in Trauma Immunology
The Virginia Commonwealth University Reanimation Engineering
and Shock Center (http://www.vcures.org),
is pleased to announce the availability of a three-year post-doctoral
position in the study of immunological changes following traumatic/hemorrhagic
shock, including interventions with androstene derivatives.
The position is funded by a grant from the Department of Defense
(Office of Naval Research). The minimum requirements for the
position include a Ph.D. in a biologic science or biologic
engineering discipline. Individuals with an MD or DVM are
also encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in
individuals with prior training in both cardiovascular and
immunological techniques, including experience with rodent
survival surgery, ELISA, RIA, and a variety of molecular biology
techniques. Salary ranges from $28,000 to $32,000, depending
on experience.
