VCURES Developing Unique WMD CD-ROM Educational Platform
and Program
VCURES announced recently that it is well on its way in creating
a novel educational platform for Weapons of Mass Destruction
(WMD) training of medical first responders (fireman, paramedics,
emergency nurses, emergency physicians, and other medical
personnel involved in the initial response to a WMD event).
The chosen platform is a CD-ROM program, which serves as an
interactive training tool for A-Z training in all aspects
of biologic, chemical, nuclear, and other forms of mass casualty
incidents. The CD-ROM will have a number of interactive tools/games
to engage the user in honing knowledge and decision-making
skills. The product will also have a logic engine and other
databases to help the user discern potential agents followed
by treatment and notification protocols. The most unique feature
of the product will be its ability to be constantly updated
through the Internet thus assuring the most up-to-date information.
VCURES is partnering with Richmond based Eye-Q (http://www.Eye-Q.com)
with its revolutionary networkDisc technology to develop the
product.
VCURES participants on this project include:
