Is there a subject you'd like to know more about? A place you'd really like to
visit? Something you've always wanted to do? You can do all this through Exploritas (formerly Elderhostel), the
world's largest education and travel organization for adults aged 55 and over.
Exploritas offers you the most diverse and affordable adventures in lifelong
learning, with programs that excite your imagination, sharpen your intelligence, and put you in touch with
interesting people in fascinating new places.
The Virginia Center on Aging at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) has provided
Exploritas programs for more than 30 years. We offer approximately sixty programs annually at our Natural Bridge,
Richmond, Staunton, and Harrisonburg hotel locations. VCU Exploritas programs range from two to seven days in
