Brain Injury Association of America – The mission of the Brain Injury Association of America is to create a better future through brain injury prevention, research, education and advocacy.

Brain Injury Association of Virginia – The mission of the Brain Injury Association of Virginia is to improve the quality of life of persons with brain injury and their families and to develop and support programs to prevent brain injury within the commonwealth of Virginia.

Center for Disease Control TBI in the USA: Assessing Outcomes in Children (2002) – Summarizes existing measures for assessing outcomes and describes their applicability to studies of traumatic brain injury.

Center for Outcome Measurement in Brain Injury – Provides detailed information and support regarding outcome measures for brain injuries.

Information and Resource Center on Brain Injury in Children and Adults – Contains articles that discuss the consequences of brain injuries for children, the effects on their families, and special education needs in the schools.

International Brain Injury Association – Founded in 1993, the International Brain Injury Association is dedicated to providing international leadership and advancing opportunities and successes for persons with brain injury.

IRSC (Internet Resources for Special Children) – The IRSC Web site is dedicated to children with disabilities and other health-related disorders worldwide.

National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research – NIDRR's programmatic efforts are aimed at improving the lives of individuals with disabilities from birth through adulthood.

National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke – The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) conducts and supports research on brain and nervous system disorders. Current and past research studies are summarized so that professionals and families can have a better understanding of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of neurological disorders, including brain injury in children.

United Cerebral Palsy – As one of the largest health charities in America, UCP's mission is to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities, through its commitment to the principles of independence, inclusion and self-determination.

VCU National Resource Center for Traumatic Brain Injury – The mission of the National Resource Center for Traumatic Brain Injury is to provide relevant, practical information for professionals, persons with brain injury, and family members. Many of its products were developed by nationally recognized experts. It has more than 20 years of experience developing intervention programs, assessment tools, and investigating the special needs and problems of people with brain injury and their families.
