Resource Center – An early disseminator of information

Resources for Special Children (IRSC) – The IRSC

The Lovaas
Institute for Early Intervention – A research-based
institute that specializes in teaching preschool-aged children
with autism, pervasive developmental disorders and related

National Alliance
for Autism Research – NAAR is an organization dedicated
to finding the causes, prevention, effective treatment and,
ultimately, cure of the autism spectrum disorders.
PECS – PECS is
an approach used to assist students with communication. A description of the Picture Exchange Communication System as well as workshops and training products are listed.

Treatment Center – The center's mission is to increase

Program (Autism Treatment Center of America) – The
Autism Treatment Center of AmericaT teaches parents and professionals

to dramatically improve in all areas of learning, development,

Treatment
and Education of Autistic and related Communication handicapped
CHildren (TEACCH) – Its mission is to enable individuals
with autism to function as meaningfully and as independently
as possible in the community.
Virginia
Autism Resource Center – VARC is a statewide project
funded in part through the State Department of Mental Health,
Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services. VARC provides
training, individual case consultation, materials and information
to families and professionals working with individuals with
autism in Virginia.
Wisconsin CESA 7 Site – This
site includes several articles about autism interventions and strategies accompanied by pictorial displays of various tools and strategies.
