The Writing Center

Hibbs Hall, 1st Floor

The Rotunda, Room 107

Writing Center Hours

Monday through Thursday:  9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Writing Center offers free learning and writing support for the entire VCU community – faculty, staff, and students. We work with all types of writing assignments.

  • Need help getting started on a writing assignment?
  • Need help developing and expanding your ideas?
  • Need a reader for your draft?

The Writing Center can help.

You do not have to have a written product to visit our center. Come talk to one of our consultants about your preliminary plans and ideas.

Many students find that Writing Center support is most beneficial when it begins early. We encourage students to use the center more than once during the course of a writing project.

To schedule a thirty minute consultation, call 827-8108. Due to the high volume of consultations, please make an appointment. Walk-in students can sign up on the Writing Center wait list in the hopes that an appointment becomes available. However, walk-in appointments are not guaranteed.
