The University College offers specialized advising for students who are undecided about what major is right for them. The Discovery Advising Program guides students through the process of identifying and realizing educational and career goals. Programming, courses and one-on-one advising activities empower students to understand ways in which interests, abilities, values and goals will relate to and express themselves within their chosen major.

Discovery Program advisors offer a blend of individual and group counseling sessions and workshops to assist undeclared and exploratory students. Advisors help first-year undeclared students monitor their academic progress, plan their course schedules and interpret university regulations and procedures-all with the goal of maximizing academic success. In addition, the Discovery Program offers the course, UNIV 103 "Education and Career Planning." UNIV 103 is designed to guide upper-division students through the process of exploring options for a major and the career opportunities related to them, with the ultimate goal of helping you decide what your path to a degree and/or career will be.
