During the 2011-2012 Welcome Week, first-year and transfer students entering VCU will participate in Summer Reading Program discussion groups, centered on The Other Wes Moore .
The discussion groups, led by faculty, staff, students and members of the Board of Visitors, give incoming students the opportunity to gather and discuss the book in an academic setting.
The Other Wes Moore will also be utilized in many first-year classes throughout the year.
