University CollegeOnline GivingThank you for your interest in making an online donation to the VCU University College. The University College is the central home for university-wide programs and resources that help to enhance students’ undergraduate experience. Through academic advising, learning support programs, the core education program and programs for new students and their families, the University College provides opportunities for VCU students to achieve greater levels of academic success.
Please select the type of donation you would like to make.
University College Fund (Where the Need is Greatest) This fund provides support for the greatest needs of our students, faculty and programs. University College Fund dollars provide the University College with the ability to meet unexpected needs not funded through the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as respond to unforeseen opportunities.
Student Support and Scholarship Fund Scholarship funds are vital to the students of this University. While 57 percent of our students receive financial aid, fully 84 percent of students with demonstrated need have some need unmet (about $37 million in unmet need this year alone). And although financial aid eases the burden during a student’s academic career, our graduating undergraduates leave this institution with an average debt of $20,737, even after working to pay for their educations.
If you would like to make your gift to one of the two funds above in honor or memory of a student, graduate, alumnus, faculty member, friend, etc., we will gladly send an acknowledgement of your thoughtfulness to that person.
Faculty and Staff Donations through Payroll Deduction As a benefit to VCU faculty and staff, gifts to the University College can be deducted directly from your paycheck.
Planned giving strategies can benefit your family, bring immediate and deferred tax advantages and enable you to have a meaningful impact on the University College into perpetuity. VCU can work with your financial advisor to explore opportunities, such as life income gifts, gift annuities, pooled income funds, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, retained life estates, donor advised funds and bequests.
