Part of being independent is learning to manage your money. You will need to develop a budget to plan how you will use your income to pay your bills and what you have available for things like clothing, entertainment and savings. Local resources include:
Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE)
Programs delivered through the Family and Consumer Sciences specialty area are designed to help families establish and/or improve their economic self-sufficiency by learning how to make effective economic decisions, including learning to pay bills on time, establish and effectively use credit, reduce debt, and plan for financial emergencies.
