Early Childhood

Welcome to the early childhood section of our website. The field of Early Childhood on this site refers to quality practices used in both Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE). Inclusive Placement Opportunities for Preschoolers (IPOP)

The Virginia Department of Education’s Statewide Inclusive Placement Opportunities for Preschoolers (IPOP) initiative aims to increase options for children with disabilities to be included in settings with children without disabilities in school divisions’ preschool programs and community preschools. School and division-level teams can use the IPOP manual to expand or develop inclusive placements for preschoolers with disabilities.

An Early Childhood Needs Assessment Form is now available.

Directions: Please make sure that you answer all the questions so we may obtain an accurate compilation of data. The only optional field would be the Comments or Suggestions Box.
