Some current projects include:
- National Professional Development Center on ASD (NPDC)-NPDC is a national grant project that is being carried out across the state of Virginia. T/TAC at VCU is providing intense technical assistance to three classrooms to train professionals and promote the use of evidence-based practices for students with ASD. Classrooms are located at Amelia County High School, Pocahontas Middle School in Powhatan, and Cumberland Elementary.
- Book studies-T/TAC at VCU has a variety of book studies related to working with students with ASD. These studies can either be checked out by a group of teachers or facilitated by a Program Specialist from the T/TAC at VCU. Some book titles include: Ten Things Every Child With Autism Wishes You Knew and You're Going to Love This Kid: Teaching Students with Autism in the Inclusive Classroom.
- Community of Practice: New for 2012-13, look for Community of Practice on evidence based practices for students with Autism.
