State Contract for Collection Services

If departmental due diligence fails to elicit payment, past-due accounts should be referred to a collection agency. There is a statewide collection services contract available to all state agencies and institutions of higher education.

NOTE: This contract is for collection services only. Per the Virginia Debt Collection Act (Chapter 48 of Title 2.2, Code of Virginia), accounts requiring legal action [i.e. judgements] must be referred to the Virginia State Attorney General's Office of Debt Collection.
