Training room located in the Franklin St. Gym, as well as the satellite
training room at the Stuart C. Siegel Center.
Working
closely with the Team Physicians and the Director of Sports Medicine,
they see that the mission of the VCU Sports Medicine team is carried
out. They are responsible for the prevention, evaluation and treatment,
and rehabilitation of any athletic injuries in addition to physician
referrals, nutritional consultation, and some travel with teams.
The
Athletic Training staff also works closely with the Strength and
Conditioning Coach, Tim Kontos, regarding rehabilitation and nutritional
issues. In addition to their duties within the Athletic Department,
Todd and Aimee also teach courses in the Athletic Training Curriculum
and supervise clinical Athletic Training students.
