The VCU International Showcase a premier event showcasing top collegiate basketball players in a series of exhibition games. This event gives quality players, who have completed their eligibility, the opportunity to play in front of national and international scouts. This event provides players the opportunity to receive professional contracts and to continuing their dreams. During its first four years, the VCU SportsCenter International Showcase was a huge success. Displaying their talents in front of representatives from the NBA, NBDL, and European professional clubs, over 250 quality collegiate basketball players, who had completed their eligibility, have come to Richmond with the hopes of securing a professional contract. Over half of them have received placement with various teams overseas. In addition, the players raved about the quality of their experience ranging from housing and food to the professionalism of the management of the event. Our goal is to make the event the premier showcase for potential professional basketball talent. In our fifth year we are very close to reaching our goal.
