ALLTEL PAVILION AT THE STUART C. SIEGEL CENTER
Located in the heart of Richmond, Virginia, the Stuart C. Siegel Center at Virginia Commonwealth University offers convenience to the entire state of Virginia. The Siegel Center is conveniently located near two major interstate highways, I-64 and I-95.

The purpose of this facility is to provide a quality multi-purpose indoor facility that can accommodate Division I level NCAA inter-collegiate athletics, serve as a general-purpose assembly space for special events, and provide expanded recreational sports activity space.

VCU SPORTS MEDICINE BUILDING
The latest addition to VCU facilities is the Sports Medicine Building, which opened in July 2001. This 30,000 square-foot building cost $7 million to build, and is located just west of the Stuart C. Siegel Center. The two-story building houses a student health clinic, and has offices for many of VCU’s coaches, in addition to housing the athletic department’s academic advising, compliance, sports information and athletic training staffs.

There is also ample meeting space for special events, and the building also serves as the headquarters for the VCU SportsCenter, a graduate program in sport leadership. An adjacent three-level parking deck and 20,000-square foot weight room for VCU athletes opened in fall of 2002.

VCU SPORTSBACKERS STADIUM
Construction of the skyboxes, press box and Sports Backers' offices was completed in the Spring of 2001, putting the finishing touches on VCU's newest athletic complex.  Sports Backers Stadium, featuring the Irwin Belk Athletic Center and Richard A. Hollander Track, officially opened on Wednesday, August 25, 1999.

In addition to serving as the home facility for VCU's men's and women's soccer team and track and field teams, Sports Backers Stadium has played host to the USA Track & Field Junior National Championships, the Colonial Athletic Association Conference track and field Championships, the Virginia High School League Track and Field Championships and numerous other track and soccer events.

Sports Backers Stadium's international caliber track provides an ideal setting for regional, national and even international track and field meets. The eight 48 inch wide lanes with the Martin surface and the full compliment of throwing facilities within the main stadium make this an ideal event facility. In addition, the 3,250 quality seats, bathrooms, locker rooms and a storage facility provide the amenities to support the athletes and fans alike.  The press box and skybox space provide the added amenities to host top national and international events.

THE DIAMOND
The Diamond, the home of the Richmond Braves, is recognized as one of the finest facilities in all of minor league baseball. It has served as the Braves ballpark since the gates first opened on April 17, 1985. The stadium was built in seven months at a cost of $8 million on the same site of its predecessor, Parker Field.

Perhaps the most outstanding aspect of this modern facility – other than the speed with which it was built – was the spirit of teamwork generated by the idea of a new home for the Richmond Braves. Cooperation was unprecedented between the City of Richmond and its two neighboring counties, Chesterfield and Henrico. The three localities pitched in together with $4 million. The balance of the cost was raised through the public and private sectors, which railed enthusiastically around the fundraising campaign.

The Diamond has a seating capacity of 12,134, consisting of 11,978 stadium seats and 156 luxury box seats. In addition to traditional seating, The Diamond features a 150-seat restaurant- Famous Dave's – with a glass wall that affords an excellent view of the playing field from the first base side of the stadium.

The Diamond, where VCU baseball holds its home games, is operated by the Richmond Metropolitan Authority and leased to the Braves. It is conveniently located just off Interstate 95.
