The Sociology Graduate Program |
|
The Graduate Program in Sociology is located in Lafayette Hall, one of the stops along VCU's Historic Buildings Tour. Today, it houses faculty with wide ranging interests and expertise, provides office space for Graduate Teaching Assistants, includes a graduate computer center and reading room, and is the site where graduate seminars are taught. The intimate setting and supportive environment enhance students' personal growth and intellectual development. A rigorous sequence of theory, statistics and research methods courses provides students with practical skills and abilities that are widely applicable. Substantive seminars, grouped around themes of globalization, the urban environment, social problems, and social change, prepare graduates to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
Application forms for U.S. citizens and International students may be downloaded directly from the School of Graduate Studies website, which is the the most comprehensive source of information on the application process, in-state and out-of-state tuition rates, student fees, financial aid, university policies, and other valuable graduate student resources. For additional information on Virginia Commonwealth University, students are encouraged to visit VCU's Website. If you have any
questions about our graduate program or would like to arrange a visit to
Lafayette Hall, please contact the office manager for further information.
