THE CENTER FOR PSYCHOTHERAPY RESEARCH, DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY, UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA MEDICAL SCHOOL is recruiting (pending final budget approval) for a project director position for a study comparing the efficacy of dynamic psychotherapy vs. medication for depression. The candidate should have a background in clinical research relevant to depression and/or psychotherapy, including knowledge of structured diagnostic assessment. The candidate will be actively involved in the supervision of the recruitment and careful diagnostic assessment of patients, implementing the research protocol, and managing the work of research assistants, therapists and diagnosticians. The candidate will also be involved in the writing of scholarly papers, will contribute to ongoing study design, data collection and analysis, and will have an opportunity to develop his or her own program of research, Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
