Behind the drawing room is the den, which is crafted in the Italian Renaissance style. The focal point of this room is a fireplace that boasts a magnificent tile mosaic forming the letter “S.” The original combination gas and electric light fixture still hangs. The stained glass is a yellow, Indiana glass called Kokomo #11, which was often used by Tiffany. Frederic Scott likely spent many hours in this room. After a trip to the Panama Pacific Exposition in 1915, the Scotts added a set of Chinese furniture to this room. Later, the den housed their ping-pong table.
