Computer proficiency requirement |
|
Please note that Technology Services does not administer this program, it is administered by the Center for Teaching Excellence. We only provide this information as a courtesy. Some schools have a Computer Proficiency requirement for graduation. For instance, in the College of Humanities and Sciences, all students must either: 1. pass the Computer Proficiency Examination prior to graduation; or 2. successfully complete CMSC 128 Computer Concepts and Applications (3 credits). Your advisor should inform you if this is a requirement for graduation in your program. If you need to fulfill this requirement and you would like to pass the Computer Proficiency Examination, this program is administered through Knowledgenet (before 2008) or SkillSoft (after 2008). Please visit the CTE's website for more information and instructions. If you've taken the test and need proof, you should contact your program's Dean's Office; those offices maintain the test scores.
