• Cooperative Education is the program that allows you to get great experience directly related to your major either by working part-time and combining work and study, or by working full-time and alternating semesters of work and study.
  
  
• Federal Work-Study positions are listed by VCU departments and other non-profit organizations. You may apply if you have a Federal Work-Study financial aid award.
  
  
• Resume critiques for students and alumni: You may see a career coordinator during drop-in hours to receive suggestions for a stronger resume.
  
  
• STRATEGIES for Career Development offers practical step-by-step guidance in mapping out a career plan, writing your resume, preparing for interviews, following up with appropriate correspondence, and more.
  
  
• Job search training is offered in group sessions available for class meetings and other student organizations as well as in individual counseling sessions provided during drop-in hours and by appointment.
  
  
• Research materials available in our Resource Center include employment trends and projections, employer literature, directories, occupational salary ranges, and more to help you choose the right direction. Alumni Career Advisers can be another helpful information source for VCU students and alumni.
