John Coburn is a staff attorney at Health & Disability Advocates, a national policy and advocacy organization for people with disabilities. He has extensive experience in training on federal and state public benefits and work-related issues. In addition, John represents consumers in SSA overpayment cases.

Part 1 - Overview of SSA Work-Related Overpayments

Part I provided information on the options available to address overpayments, the legal requirements that must be met, important filing deadlines, and the SSA collection overpayment process.

Part 2 - Overview of Continuing Disability Reviews

Part II will addressed the role of the BPAO/PABSS staff in the Continuing Disability Review process, the consumer’s rights, the Ticket to Work and Work Incentives impact, and information on the sequential evaluation used by SSA.
