John Kregel has been on the faculty of Virginia Commonwealth
University since 1983 and presently holds the rank of Professor of
Special Education. In addition to his appointment in the Department
of Special Education, Dr. Kregel is also the Associate Director and
Research Director of the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center
on Supported Employment. As Research Director, he coordinates the
efforts of 15 staff members conducting research on all aspects of
supported employment. Dr. Kregel is the author or
co-author of numerous books, journal articles, book chapters,
research monographs, and other publications on school to work
transition and supported employment. He was recently awarded the
1993 NARF Research Award by the American Rehabilitation Association
(formerly NARF) for his significant research contributions in the
field of rehabilitation.
