Recycling data

The VCU recycling program measures its progress by calculating a diversion rate each month based on the total tons (one ton = 2,000 pounds) of reused and recyclable materials divided by the total tons of waste that is sent to a landfill for disposal. This information is used to keep the VCU community informed on our progress in waste reduction and recycling.
