If you need to request service:
The VCU Facilities Management Department of Contract Administration, through its contract with Service Solutions Corp., provides extra collection service for recyclable materials (e.g., office paper, beverage containers, etc.) and provides document destruction (such as shredding) on an on-call basis.
In order to minimize the number of extra collection calls and maximize collection efficiency, VCU customers are asked to refer to the recycling collection schedule and coordinate special office clean-up projects around the normal schedule. For example, complete an annual office file purge a day or two before your normal recycling day, so that the housekeeping staff can pick up the extra material in conjunction with the regular recycling collection service.
If the amount of material is unusually large or the collected material cannot wait for the next regular collection day, contact the Facilities Management call center at (804) 828-9444 or use QuikFM to submit a work order number. For special pick-ups and shredding requests, we require a budget code be provided. Free estimates will be provided upon request.
Depending upon call volume, your collection request will be done normally within two working days.
