LEASING
Lease Amendment Process
From time to time, there may be a need to
change the terms of the lease during the lease period. Lease
amendments must be approved.
1. Real Estate & Insurance Services discusses
changes with the user and Lessor.
2. Real Estate & Insurance Services prepares a
draft Lease Amendment. VCU’s General Counsel and the landlord review the draft Lease Amendment. (VIEW
AMENDMENT FORM.)
3. Upon review approval, the Lease Amendment is
forwarded to the landlord for signature.
4. The signed Lease Amendment is forwarded to
General Counsel for signature.
5. A fully executed lease amendment is sent to the
Division of Real Estate Services and distributed to the appropriate
parties.
