Our outpatient practice is a component of MCV Physicians. We are a multidisciplinary group practice consisting of licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, professional counselors, and clinical nurse specialists who are faculty members in the Department of Psychiatry at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System. ADULT SERVICES
The outpatient practice provides assessment and treatment for a wide array of mental health problems including depression, anxiety, stress-related disorders, sleep disorders, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, adjustment to trauma, and psychological issues related to medical conditions.
Services provided include:
Individual psychotherapy
Group therapy
Marital or family therapy
Medication management
Psychiatric evaluations
Psychological and Neuropsychological evaluations
Geriatric psychiatry services
Forensic evaluations
CHILD AND ADOLESCENT SERVICES
The outpatient practice also provides a broad range of assessment and treatment approaches for children with emotional or behavioral difficulties and their families. The majority of such services are provided through the affiliated Virginia Treatment Center for Children. Problems treated include attention-deficit/hyperactivity, depression, anxiety, family and interpersonal conflicts, adjustment to trauma, and behavioral difficulties at home or school.

Parent training and support
Psychological and psychoeducational evaluations
Psychiatric evaluations
Medication management
Consultation with schools and other community programs
