Dr. Entin has been active in local, state and national psychological associations, having served as the 1999 President of the Virginia Psychological Association and the President of the Divisions of Family Psychology, Psychologists in Independent Practice and Media Psychology of the American Psychological Association. In 2001 he was selected as the Distinguished Psychologist of the Year by Psychologists in Independent Practice and in 2007 he was the recipient of the Distinguished Contributions to Media Psychology Award by the Division of Media Psychology, Divisions of the American Psychological Association. In 2008, he was selected to receive the Rosalee Weiss Award by the American Psychological Foundation for his contributions to psychology and the arts; 2008 Virginia Academy of Clinical Psychology (VACP) Award for Extraordinary Contributions to Practice in Clinical Psychology for his long record of extensive dedicated service to both VACP and multiple divisions within APA over several decades; and, he gave the keynote speech at the Virginia Psychological Association Fall Conference on Psychologist as Artist: Artist as Psychologist, which was the printed as the feature article in the Spring 2009 issue of the Family Psychologist, Newsletter of the Society of Family Psychology.
