Dell Computers: Personal Purchases

Faculty, staff and students may use the VASCUPP Cooperative Procurement Contract for personal purchases. Dell Computers prices are the same for institutional or personal purchases; however, faculty, staff and student purchasers will be required to pay any sales or use tax required under state or local law. For personal purchases University funds may not be used, but Dell accepts personal charge cards or personal checks. Faculty, staff and students may also lease Dell Products directly from Dell Financial services.

There is not a single person for faculty or staff to call regarding personal purchases, though Dell does have a specific team to administer the program.

The standard configurations include both a low-end and high-end desktop and laptop computer. To ensure that the technology available on the contract is current, the standard configurations are periodically revised. All the other products on the current Dell Computer Price Lists including DellWare (peripherals and software) are available at discounts off list price.
