Definitions

  • Assault offenses are all unlawful attacks by one person upon another. 
  • Auto vehicle theft is the theft or attempted theft of a motor vehicle.
  • Disorderly conduct is any behavior that tends to disturb the public peace or decorum, scandalize the community or shock the public sense of morality.
  • Disturbance is any activity that is a malfunction, intrusion or interruption.
  • Domestic includes all forms of physical injury/abuse, sexual abuse, intimidation, verbal abuse and emotional abuse or threats of such. These tactics are used by one adult to coerce or control another.
  • Drug violations are the violation of laws prohibiting the production, distribution and/or use of certain controlled substances. The unlawful cultivation, manufacture, distribution, sale, purchase, use, possession, transportation or importation of any controlled drug or narcotic substance.
  • Larcenies include the unlawful taking, carrying, leading or riding away of property from the possession or constructive possession of another.
  • Robbery is the taking or attempting to take anything of value from the care, custody or control of a person or persons by force or threat of force or violence and/or by putting the victim in fear.
  • Sexual Assault includes offenses against chastity, common decency, morals and the like. Incest, indecent exposure, statutory rape and forcible rape are included. Attempts are also included.
  • Weapons include the violation of laws or ordinances prohibiting the manufacture, sale, purchase, transportation, possession, concealment or use of firearms, cutting instruments, explosives, incendiary devices or other deadly weapons. Attempts are included.

  • On Campus Any building or property owned or controlled by the University within the same reasonably contiguous georgraphic area and used by the University in direct support of, or in a manner related to, the University's educational purposes, including residence halls.
