Middle School
- Bring service animals to schools for an assembly www.seeingeye.org

- Post interesting disability facts, pictures and biographies of people with disabilities or a disability history timeline on bulletin boards in the hallways. www.museumofdisability.org/society_timeline.asp
- Hold a “fun facts” contest each week (ask a question related to disabilities and have students submit answers. The first person with the correct answer gets a prize) Disability Awareness Packet for Lesson Plans on these specific disabilities in the classroom
- Have a student read a biography of someone famous with a disability during morning announcements each week during the month of October
- Have a high school student or recent graduate with disabilities come to school to talk about having a disability
