Respite Resource Project

Overview
This project serves as a statewide resource center to support respite and family support services to meet the needs of families of children (birth to 21) with disabilities and chronic or terminal illnesses. Project activities include consultative and technical support to enhance new and existing respite services. Project activities also include dissemination to increase the knowledge and awareness of community services. Constituents include professionals, parents, and community members.

Major Activities

  • Provide consultative and technical support for respite services
  • Conduct state-wide dissemination of information and resources
  • Enhance family empowerment and awareness
  • Foster collaboration statewide
