New Voices Making Life Better
for Virginians with Disabilities

Who Are We?

We are ten adults who live across Virginia from rural counties to urban cities. Some of us live in our families' homes, others of us live in nursing homes and group homes; a couple of us live independently. At some point in our lives, almost all of us have been very isolated from our communities. Each of us has a disability; some are physical, some are cognitive, and some are mental illnesses. Our interests and needs vary as much as we do as individuals, and yet we share some basic concerns and interests. For more information about our concerns and interests, please visit the link, "What do we talk about?"
