|
Small biotechnology firms face many challenges, from business plan development to creating financial strategies, in today’s tough market. The April "Brown Bag" luncheon organized by the Virginia Biosciences Development Center alerted local entrepreneurs to resources that can assist them in successfully leading their companies through the start-up phase. Speakers at the monthly seminar included Dan Mills, regional director of Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology (CIT); Joe Schmidt (seen above), program manager for CIT’s FAST program, and Bill Unaitis, client relations manager at William & Mary’s Technology and Business Center. The monthly luncheons are held at the Virginia BioTechnology Research Park. The April luncheon was sponsored by CIT.
