Student health services

VCU University Student Health Services is an on-campus clinic for students who are sick or have minor injuries. It is very convenient for students to use. The clinic has doctors and nurse practitioners who see students, typically the same day they call for an appointment. In addition, students who are seen at Student Health Services can have their prescription medicine filled at the clinic for a cheaper cost than a local pharmacy. Prescriptions written by private doctors in the community cannot be filled at Student Health Services. The VCU clinic is not a hospital and students with serious injuries or illnesses should go to the hospital or be referred to a private specialist.

Health immunization record

You are required to submit an official copy, in English, of your immunization record to the university Student Health Services upon your arrival. Please try to take care of this matter before you leave your country. Contact the VCU University Student Health Services for more information about required immunizations.
