OIE-IS works with students, scholars, faculty, researchers
and their dependents to help them maintain their various visa
statuses. The office accomplishes this by issuing and processing
the necessary immigration documents and also by advising immigrants
on the regulations of the United
States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS)
as well as the Department
of Labor. OIE-IS currently advises students in F-1 and
J-1 status, and faculty/researchers in J-1 and H-1B status.
