Academic and Registration Information (for admitted students only)

The following information and links are for students who have completed the appropriate admissions documents, and have been admitted into an academic program at VCU. Please note that all students must notify the Office of International Admissions of their intent to matriculate at VCU. Students are welcome to contact the Office of International Admissions with any questions at (804) 828-6016 or e-mail at vcuia@vcu.edu.

Orientation begins at 8:30 a.m. and will be held in the University Student Commons.

Deferring Admission: Please contact the Office of International Admissions directly for information on relevant deferrals.

Detailed information on registration: Please note all new international students must first meet with their academic advisor and notify the Office of International Admissions of their intent to attend before registering by emailing Aliça Hodges at ahodges@vcu.edu with their VCU ID included.

Undergraduate students must be enrolled in 12 credits and Graduate students must be enrolled in nine credits to maintain F-1 visa status during the academic semester. Please note that academic enrollment during the summer term is not required.

Transfer credit information: For information on student transfer credit from other universities, e-mail Mr. Mas Mastriyana, VCU International Credential Evaluator at wmastriyana@vcu.edu so your transfer credit evaluation can be prepared in a timely fashion.
