The ELP offers activities for students outside of their classes,
including:
Coffee hour – Each week the program hosts a “coffee
hour” where snacks are served and students can meet
and talk.
Trips/activities – Once a month the program offers a
day trip or similar activity. Trips include local orientation
activities; visiting nearby historical sites, museums and
amusement parks; shopping; and attending city festivals. Overnight
trips also may be offered and could entail camping in the
mountains, caving, skiing, kayaking, or visiting the beach,
Washington D.C., or historic Williamsburg, Va.
