The Office of International Education and the School of World Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University are pleased to offer a unique opportunity to study Spanish language in beautiful Seville, with a 3-day trip to Portugal. Students will enjoy an intensive four-week Spanish language program conducted in conjunction with the native Spanish instructors at the Insula School of Language in Seville. Seville is located in southern Spain, two hours from Portugal and one hour from the coast. The layout of the city dates from the Middle Ages and is designed as protection against the summer heat. Thus, Seville combines a great variety of different scenes: small squares, narrow alleys and quaint cafés, allowing for a surprise around every corner.
