Internships are official programs that provide practical experience for students in a particular occupation or a profession. It allows students to try out career options and build skills they will need after the completion of their degree. Most employers rank career-related experience essential to a student’s professional development.
Education Abroad
Summer Internship Program
This summer the VCU Education Abroad office is offering a summer internship for students interested in working with international students from Russia and/or China. Interns will participate in various activities that may include hiking, canoeing, museum visits, a trip to Virginia Beach, Bush Gardens, Washington, D.C., and New York. The interns’ travel and accommodation expenses will be paid for by the Education Abroad office. However, students will be responsible for most meals and miscellaneous expenses. Students will earn three internship credits in either international studies, history or political science.
