    Fire Inspector and Fire Officer II - NFPA through the U.S. Air Force

     Society of Fire Protection Engineers

Areas of Expertise:
    Fire alarm systems i.e. smoke detectors, heat detectors and pull stations.
    Fire suppression systems i.e.  Sprinkler systems, fire pumps, kitchen hood systems and
    standpipe.

Comments:
    I supervise inspection of fire systems on both campuses.  This includes sprinklers, fire pumps, halon, kitchen hoods, fire alarms and fire detectors.  I investigate system activations and failures to determine causes of activation, system reliability and repair requirements. Provide technical support and training for university facilities maintenance staff and building managers.  I review plans for construction and renovation to fire protection systems.   I respond to Dr. Reds to provide assistance in evacuation and restore fire protection systems to service.
