Media Support Services plays a vital role in the University's distance education mission.

A major element of this support has been the design and construction of two state-of-the-art Distance Education Classrooms, one in Tompkins-McCaw Library on the MCV Campus, the other in Cabell Library on the Academic Campus. Each facility supports two-way compressed video conferencing.

Production Facilities

In addition, Cabell Room B-35 and the MCV Campus' George Ben Johnston Auditorium are equipped for use as production studios. Each room is utilized for the production, recording, and distribution of programs and classes in standard NTSC video format. The following capabilities are available:
