Research Interests:

My research interests initially centered on centrifugal isolation of cytologic organelles and their enzymes including ribosomes and polysomes. Later studies consisted of the synthesis of known sequence oligonucleotides by enzymatic and chemical methods for codon elucidation. In recent years, we have investigated and developed procedures for characterization of macromolecules including transient electric birefringence, for size and shape parameters, and countercurrent dialysis for assay of labeled substrates into macromolecules. Other interests have been the isolation and characterization of CType virus from Host vs. Graft (HVG) Syndrome, the role of T-RNA in control processes in a variety of systems including regenerating rat liver and control systems in normal and transformed cell. During the past year, we have carried out crosslinking studies on components of the active site of ribosomal protein systhesis.
